Patrice Ricks aka Hairgeniusss started her Beauty Booth in her Sisiter Friends Salon in Queens NY during 2012. The idea of Creating Small Batch Beauty Products came to her for the second time in her life because void in the Affordable Moisture Market for the KINKY, CURLY & POROUS Hair Product Market.
With a Steadily Growing clientele came never ending on which products were the most moisture efficient & easy on the pocket but with those questions came disappointment & inconsistency.
To Patrice it became BRAIN BUSTING & Expensive to try out and recommend single items from multiple product lines lines so she started making oils and Hair Butter to add to the Store bought Products. This helped achieve the level of Moisture her clients needed for salon & home hair care.
She felt "IT DIDN'T SEEM FAIR OR RIGHT" so she began to make full size products. Clients were FALLING IN LOVE with the products from the smell to the feel! Side bar, Patrice is also in to scent therapy so expect wondrous Fragrances
She was shocked and truthfully scared at how quickly the Butter and Oils were selling out but then realized although the Natural Hair market was over saturated there may still be room for her FRESH, NATURAL, CARING & CLEAN Hair Products.
Don't Forget This was her second time at this. The first being short lived because of Life's Happenings but God always has a Ram in the Bush! because It all came full circle when COVID-19 Forced her to close her Beauty Bar indefinitely. Quickly she Knew it was time to BUILD and in doing that help her clients and their friends and families worry less & feel better about themselves and the state of their hair!
